Goodreads review: Don’t look at Them. Never let Them know you can see Them.
That is Ethan Chase’s unbreakable rule. Until the fey he avoids at all costs—including his reputation—begin to disappear, and Ethan is attacked. Now he must change the rules to protect his family. To save a girl he never thought he’s dare to fall for.
Ethan thought he had protected himself from his older sister’s world—the land of Faery. His previous time in the Iron Realm left him with nothing but fear and disgust for the world Meghan Chase has made her home, a land of myths and talking cats, of magic and seductive enemies. But when destiny comes for Ethan, there is no escape from a danger long, long forgotten.
My name is Ethan Chase. And I may not live to see my eighteenth birthday.

Fate's thoughts: Ladies and gentlemen please give me a moment too very nicely fan girl.
 WOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 O. MY. GOD. YAAAAAAAAAAY. WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whew, now that i got that off my back we can go on to talk about how awesome this book is. I do have to confess though, it did feel a bit weird to have the hots for Ethan. I remember reading The Iron knight and picturing a cute little boy. Anyway, there was one little thing I didn't really enjoy but we'll get to that later. Now, let's talk about the newly grown up and very much hot Ethan. He's moving to a new town and just want to be left alone. Unfortunately it isn't long before people are gossiping about his shady past. Ethan is your typical bad boy. But he only goes through that to protect the very few people that get close to him. Although throughout the book he does open up a bit.

Along with trying to disappear in school he is trying to hide from the Fey. And he manages fine until a new type of fey called the Forgotten appear and start sucking other fey dry of their glamour so they could stop themselves from fading into nothingness. And when his new friend half fey friend is kidnapped by them ethan is forced to go back to Nevernever.

Ethan is a great character. He does have his down moments, who can blame him. He only act like a jerk to keep people from getting too close to him, so they wont get hurt. Only this time, a certain little miss bossypants manages to get past his wall and really gets to know him. Mackenzie St. James, better known as kenzie is the love interest. I really liked her and especially how stubborn she was. but she did kind of remind me of Meghan back in the day. Speaking of Meghan we did get to see her, but only twice, which kind of disappointed me but I'm learning to accept the fact that this book is about the new trio. But, i do have to admit it was pretty fun seeing Puck, Ash and Meghan again. Also she has a son, keirran, who is the third person in what i like to call the new trio. Kierran reminded me a little of both  Meghan and Ash. At first i thought there would be a love triangle between the three of then: Ethan, kierran and kenzie but was very happy to see that that was not the case. keirran had his own love interest. The one thing that did bother me a teeny bit was that there's a little twist at the end with kenzie that I was weirdly able to predict. But I got over it.

The ending was pretty good and it totally left me wanting for more, i cant wait to read the next installment in the series. But i do strongly recommend reading The Iron Fey before reading this so you can actually understand what's happening.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Harlequin for sending me this ARC!
